Distinguished Chair,
The Islamic world is burning up in flames. War and oppression are running rampant in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan. Tens of Muslims die, get injured, become refugees, and end up homeless on a daily basis.
International imperialists conspire against the Islamic world over and over again. In Egypt, Muslims, who came to power by a referendum, were toppled by a bloody coup plotted by imperialist powers.
The Zionist government of Israel has been tyrannizing Muslims in Palestine for 70 years. In Gaza, Muslims are under siege.
A coup attempt took place in Turkey on the 15th of July 2016. The Turkish Grand National Assembly, the Presidential Complex and military and police premises were bombarded. The coup plotters fired into the people and 248 patriots, who stood against the coup, fell martyr.
We, the conscious Muslims operating in the field of healthcare, are aware that we have to stay strong against such cruel imperialist actions. We have to unite to be strong. Last year, we founded the World Muslim Health Union in our capacity as Muslim non-governmental healthcare organizations.
As the World Muslim Health Union, we hope to organize the second edition of the World Muslim Health Societies Congress this year to be hosted by Sağlık-Der. We will be exerting our efforts on developing healthcare policies, providing national and international healthcare assistance and implementing student exchange programs.
We will also be gathering in Istanbul on November 28 to December 1, 2017 as Muslim non-governmental healthcare organizations across the globe to discuss our goals to conduct joint projects, cooperate in healthcare development and ensure coordination in disasters. Through panels, conferences and team efforts, this gathering will provide us with the opportunity to discuss the problems of the Islamic world and possible solutions and analyze the possibility to jointly benefit from human and financial resources.
We appreciate the efforts exerted by our President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN to push Turkey towards to set an example for the whole world in the field of healthcare. We would like to foster this accomplishment by joining forces to heal the wounds of the Islamic world.
Our goal is to further strengthen the World Muslim Health Union thanks to this congress that will convene Muslim Healthcare Institutions from all over the world.
Your moral and material support to our congress and the cooperation that will pave the way for a common interest will give us strength.
While we remember Prof. Necmettin Erbakan, who guided us to the ideal of a Global Muslim Union, with compassion, we also hope that this organization will lead to fruitful outcomes for the Islamic and healthcare world. We also would like to note that we would be honored to see and host you in Istanbul as a part of this event.
May peace be with you.
